These spectacular ear weights were crafted by the Tuareg people in the North Niger region of West Africa. Quite large, these contain 124 grams of silver weight. The faceted knobs, known as "elkiss" display superb incised, stamped, and relief geometric patterns. Smaller Tsabit are worn by young girls, while larger weights such as these are worn by older, more mature Tuareg women. These weights require an ear gauge of 4-5mm.
