A warm and friendly "Hello" to all of our fellow customers, friends and beaders. Chevron Trading Post & Bead Company enters its 21st year and we have you to thank for making this such a fun journey. Some wonderful things have happened here since we last wrote and we want to share them with you.
During the cold winter months we decided to hunker down and put a lot of focus on the store. The Beadgirls have been buzzing around putting out new merchandise, making new displays and getting terrific ideas on how to make the store bigger and better, for you, of course!
Have you noticed our extremely colorful seed bead section lately? That's right, we went from offering just a few random colors in Japanese seed beads to giving you more than 1500 colors in Sizes 6, 8, 11 and 15. Our Miyuki Delica selection has grown as well to 350 colors. Also, the cubes and triangles are fully stocked with colors we haven't had in a long time. Currently, we are featuring over 20 different Bugle selections and expect to expand this area over the next year.
Just in...another great shipment of India Glass, Bone and Horn. Chevron has carried this line for over 15 years and we firmly believe in these beads that are hand made for us in India. The India Glass is always colorful, fun and makes great beads to design with. The Bone and Horn always offers a natural, rustic feel, giving your jewelry a solid look. Come in to check all of these wonderful new beads and pendants. As always, we offer wholesaling on these items. Please ask one of our Beadgirls for more details.
Do you get just as excited over the tools and supplies as you do new beads? Then listen up, we are proud to introduce some hot new tools. Just getting started? Want to upgrade your tools? Try our new tool sets. We have a wonderful beginner's 5-piece tool set featuring all of the basic pliers to get you started. And, we now carry a very nice plier set in a travel case...great for a Beadgirl (or Beadboy) on the go! Don't we all love teeny-tiny things? Try our new Mini-Plier Set. They are perfect for small hands, small projects, small spaces or just because you like small pliers.
Tired of regular ole' tiger tail or silk cording? Really jazz up your next project with our new Metallic Wire Mesh having your beads separated so you can show off its texture.
Needle Threaders, Bead Scoops, and a 4-Piece Bead Reamer Set, have also been added to our inventory, just to name a few. You asked, we listened... Silver Plated Tiger tail wire is here offered on a 10-15 foot spool. Design away, let your creativity soar!
The Semi-Precious Gemstone case is looking juicy and full for your shopping pleasure. Check out the new cuts, shapes and colors of these beautiful rocks of the Earth. Chevron is always proud to say that we hand-pick our stones making sure we are getting a good product for our beloved customer.
Displayed now in the very front case of our store is a collection of fabulous Moroccan Jewelry, Pendants and Beads. These have been in our collection for a very long time, but have only been shown "by appointment". Several of the pieces are very old, with history more than we can tell. However, there are several affordable items that are hand crafted in Tiznit, Morocco, such as sterling silver pendants, earrings, rings and leather/silver jewelry sets. Come enjoy our display, try on pieces and get lost in the ethnic splendor of this fabulous line.
Chevron Trading Post & Bead Company is pleased to offer a great line of hand-made glass beads by Jennifer Kelting and Timothy Hollihan. Jennifer's vibrant color palette gives so much life to her whimsical characters. Timothy's precision with dotted beads is superb. Whether you just want one bead on a cord or want to make an entire themed necklace, this group has got you covered. Next time you are in the store, ask to see these two lines of beads. We promise you will like them!
Have you noticed how wood and natural materials have become so popular in jewelry and fashion? Well, we are hip too! We are now offering more wooden beads than we ever have in the past. Also, check out our Nut/Seed Malas. Talk about the original beads, this is a short mala that displays a collection of nuts and seeds. Think of it more as a decorating factor. They would look great in a shadowbox!
Is your personality more of a sparkling style? Well, we have got some beautiful treats just for you. Check out our fantastic prices on Crystal Prisms. Shop around and compare. We are thrilled to showcase a very large selection of prisms in different shapes and sizes. You can buy just one, but if you are a real bead-a-holic, we offer bulk pricing on three or more. Everybody say, "Bling"!
Spring is near and getting back into the garden is too. Make a mosaic stepping stone to spruce up your flower bed using our inexpensive Glass Blobs. These look like river stones, but are sold in transparent and opaque glass. They are also great to put in a flower vase.
Come hang out and be Beady the Bookworm. We have added several new titles to our constant changing supply of books. Fresh titles, fresh projects - they are sure to inspire you.
Yo, Dude, Like is Punk your style?!? Whoah, check out our killer new Rubber Punk Beads! Sure to make you rock harder! They are neon and pointy and rubbery. Awesome! Totally!
Wrap it up and tie it with a bow... we now sell silk pouches just the right size to put a bracelet or necklace or earrings into and no gift wrap paper is needed. We have two new styles. One is made from recycled Silk Sari material. The other is a colorful silk embellished with sequins. Remember, presentation is half the gift!
It is spring cleaning time. That's right; get your bead studio in tip-top shape with our new clear plastic boxes. They are neat, clean and the perfect answer for beads of all sizes. We sell them individually and we offer bulk-pricing on them because we know you will want more than just one. Now, get to cleaning!
We hope you enjoy our new products. Of course this is not all the new things we have. Chevron is constantly traveling far and wide to bring you the coolest and best stuff in the world! For your shopping convenience we have recently added a new stereo and sound system. We will always be playing fun groovy music, but on occasion we will be offering beading instructions from DVD and video on our new high definition TV.
